ISARIC4C is a UK-wide consortium of doctors and scientists committed to answering urgent questions about COVID-19 quickly, openly, and for the benefit of all. ISARIC4C is the UK arm of the international ISARIC consortium, a global federation of clinical research networks which provide a proficient, coordinated, and agile research response to outbreak-prone infectious diseases. Since the start of the outbreak of COVID-19, ISARIC4C has coordinated a number of medical and genomic studies across the UK to help guide pandemic response and discover new treatments. As of November 2021 ISARIC4C has curated data on: 253,286 patients at Tier Zero case report forms (CO-CIN) 2,507 patients at Tier 1/2 (host/viral multiomics) 16,665 critically-ill patients can also be recruited to a sister study, the ISARIC GenOMICC study EIDF, through a mixture of safe haven services, on-premises cloud, and the Ultra2 AI platform, has created an underpinning Outbreak Data Analysis Platform (ODAP) to support ISARIC4C. ODAP runs inside a protected data access environment alongside the Scottish National Safe Haven, and we work closely with data controllers and information governance authorities from across the UK to enable life-changing and life-saving research into COVID-19.
